Baby butt smooth BBS Terminology & Practical Uses Poll

Just interested in gauging the Baby butt smooth or BBS reference point for use of the description of the closeness of a given shave. The reason I ask is because I have never felt a baby's butt, but I doubt that it would be possible for my face to feel as smooth as one even if I got my face waxed and put it into a tub of vaseline for a couple hours.

The generally-accepted definition of a BBS shave is no detectable whiskers when rubbing your face in any direction. It's possible but not always desirable if you end up with an irritated, scraped-up face.

I strive to achieve the closest, smoothest, most comfortable shave I can get every day. I would say that 99% of the time I come out with BBS after 4 full passes and clean up buffing of the problem areas (jaw line and throat area).

To me BBS is when I can feel no stubble with my hand from any direction after my skin has dried down (about 15-30 minutes after I have finish shaving). After 12 hours +/- I can start to feel stubble. After 24 hours there is no visible stubble but I can feel it. By then it is time to shave again

Hmm...good point. When thinking about the skin of a baby's butt, adjectives that instantly come to mine are delicate and thin. This in no way can describe my face/neck areas before or after any shave.

Actually, the original slogan was "Smooth as a Baby's ***." Somehow that mutated into BBS. So, it should be SBA.
