Astra SP

I wanna say I found my blade. I have been using sharks, and have been relatively satisfied with the smoothness, but coming from a mach 3 it WAS a lot better. However, the Astra gets that real fine stubble a lot better in my opinion. I havent been brave enough to go at the feathers yet, since Im still developing muscle memory and technique but I think the Astra is a good step up. Only bit me a few times around the mouth :blushing:

Opinions?

+1 on Astras. They quickly became my favorite blades. Feathers tore me up.

Astra is the blade I always use when I try out a new razor.

I know how it shaves so never any surprises.

Just got in a 100 count of Astra stainless (blue box) today. Looking forward to trying one out in the next few weeks. Too much lined up before it to get it on deck sooner.

I'm a newbie to this game but the first lot of 100 blades that I've ever ordered, arrived a couple of days ago and they were Astra SP's

Interesting thread tonight as I was just contemplating ordering a big lot of the SPs for a go to blade. I have been wet shaving off and on for a few years, but have not yet stockpiled any huge amount of blades, as I've been taking my time with this hobby.
I tried Astra SPs awhile back in a sampler pack and as others concur, I must say they are very decent blades. I got 4 or 5 shaves from each one... No complaints whatsoever, a forgiving blade. I do have pricier blades in my modest stash like the Med Preps and Perma Sharp Supers which posses great longevity (above 10 shaves if the blade is cared for properly) but at under 10 dollars per 100 blades from Amazon, that is a SWEET deal... (2 cents per shave or so) I will most likely order a big lot in the near future.... as I can probably obtain 6 shaves or so from each one. Thanx for this thread everyone!!!

My first shave with my new Weber razor I used the included Astra SP blades. I think this is one of the main reasons I was so thrilled with the new razor. My last shave using a Astra Stainless was a bit rougher than when I used the SPs'.

I tried an Astra SP today in my Rocket HD. It literally glides through the stubble on my chin!

The Personna Red blades are not bad, but the Astra SP blades are super smooth!
