Don't the powers that be know they're a 'safety device'? 
From a Health and Safety standpoint they should be promoting them!
Seriously though, what's their reasoning behind them being so legislated over there? Yes you can get a subsonic .22 pretty damn quiet, and my .300blk with subs is about the same, but do they think they're a 'silencer' like you see in the movies?
