I'm in the hunt of a hone for my Straight razor. So far the easiest and cheapest way to do it, is getting a combination stone (either a Norton 4/8K, etc.).
But prices here have increased to ridiculous prices!
so far the cheapest I've been able to find a 4/8K Norton is 74 pounds! (USD 120) I think I'm not being a cheap bastard here, but I consider 74 or 120 dollars a bit too much.
So here's my question: Does anyone know a place to get hones from at a decent price??
I have used Axminster before, but they don't carry nortons
or any hone in the 4/8k range (the only one I could find was the 1/6k king stone).
