Adding Essential Oils Question/s

Ok I've got the bug, or maybe I've just got a little too much time on my hands. So eventually I want to start making shaving soap, but as I know nothing about this I thought I would start slowly (very very slowly). I've got a dozen VDH pucks on order and a couple of them I thought I would play with, by melting in the microwave and then adding some EO's. Yer I can afford high end soap, which is still cheap. But I wanna play.

Simple Simple recipes:
* What are reasonable brand name EO's
* What are 6 (6) solid scents to start off with and what size bottles do I need (15ml ?)
* How much (# of drops) and what scents to add



Update:
I forgot to also add in the original post: "menthol crystals", any recipes and how do you use them..

Sounds kinda of fun actually.

As for the six beginning scents, I can think of a few.

Lime
Menthol
Clove or bay
Lavender
Something spicy
Another citrus scent.

I agree that it would be better to start with an unscented puck of soap. The VDH smells sort of like Grey Flannel cologne, and has quite a bit of scent already in it.

That said, if I had to pick 6 essential oils to start with, they'd be these:

1) Lime
2) Lavender
3) Rose
4) Bergamot
5) Sandalwood
6) Neroli or Tangerine
