AD Support groups?

When I first joined this site, I was told of an unfortunate condition called "Acquisition Disorder" that ran rampant amongst wet shavers. As my shaving became more enjoyable, I laughed and told myself that I would stick with one razor, one blade, and maybe a cream or two and a soap that I'd really like to try so as not to shake things up too much and keep it economical. Then last night I was browsing the B/S/T forum and a few websites and thought "oh, wouldn't that razor be better" and "oooohh, I'd like to try a soap" and "straight razors, huh? I bet that'd be fun". Now I have a problem.

Are there AD support groups? Like a 12 step program that I can enroll myself in before I wear out the 'check-out' button trying new creams and soaps and razors? Can't I just stick with what already works? Its just shaving, right?

I totally get you. I'm itching to try some vintage razors, get new blades to compare to what I use now (Feathers and Astras), and I'm about to go B&BW and The Body Shop and take a look at what they got. My excuse? I need better soap/cream. I'm sticking to it!

It's catchy....I'm in the same boat !
Started with EJ89, then had to get birth year flair tip and red tip.
Today I ordered a Feather DS-2... what's next ???

Recognition is the first step.

I also think this is how the 3017 and sabbatical threads started: too much stuff in the den, not enough faces and/or time to use it all up.

Let me relate, I recently told SWMBO that I had enough soap and then two days later I ordered 2 from B&M and 3 from Mikes, guess I better be the one to pick up the mail:wink2:
