Above The Tie

Has anyone used/visited this Website? I'd seen it now and again when I was surfing for shaving gear, and even visited a time or two. Last week I visited and found a birth year 1966 Gillette Flair Tip in fantastic condition and a reasonable price, so I purchased it. It came 3 days later and was as promised.

I decided to log back on yesterday and got a warning popup that says "this site may harm your computer". When I do a websearch for Above The Tie it also says "this site may harm your computer" below the title of the link.

Anyone have any clue why this is coming up? It certainly wasn't like that last week when I bought my razor. Should I be concerned that I bought something from them? I've run scans on my laptop and everything is fine, no maleware or viruses. I'm just wondering as they had a nice selection of vintage razors and I'd like to look at them, but not at the cost of a virus or information stealing maleware.

someone reported that they have a problem with their site. Been hacked and it tries to install malicious software on your computer when you visit.

Best to stay away until they resolve the problem.

If you have visited there you may want to run a manual scan on your computer.

Thanks for the info. I've run several manual scans and all seems well, but I'm not the most tech savvy guy, so I stress a bit.

Shock! Someone has piggybacked malware on a site that sells classic shaving gear! I think those manufacturers of cart razors and canned goo are behind this!
