7 o'clock Lifespan?

I finally after almost a year of searching, have found my blade. 7 o' clock yellows.

Are these going to be around for the considerable near future?

Kinda guessed that guys! ;-)

I know they are made in Russia, but the bigger question is will the market keep DE shaving alive especially with the Guard being introduced?

It will be many many years before DE blades are ever phased out entirely. The problem is consolidation and fewer options heading forward. Good premium blades should be purchased in quantity if you are worried that they might be discontinued. But, be prudent and do not go nuts buying blades unless you can justify then extra expense now, rather than later down the line.

On a more serious note than my former post :blushing: :

India, China and Russia are still huge markets for DE razors and blades. I'm not an expert in economy but as far as I am able to observe Gillette has a pretty hard time to convince men in India to switch from DE to disposables or even carts, and China will be a tad tougher. I have no idea how things are developing in Russia though. People have to be convinced that shaving with a disposable or cart razor instead of DE razors because the former are more expensive but actually don't shave better. So, while people don't get brain washed over many years by immense and permanent advertising on a daily basis and even in the remotest valleys, deserts and the jungle where today DE blades get sold, there will still be done a big business with the ongoing DE blade sales.

In any case I'm with Early Morning that if you want to be sure to shave tomorrow with your preferred quality blade, get it today.
