It took me a ssecond but when it finally clicked... oh my I laughed out loud! Really loud!

I was on site when there was no stock, hit refresh and saw stock, thought about it and passed.
My plan was for Tim to get one, but he missed out when paying.

The orders came in way too fast for the backend server to track, so it allowed 102 sales to go through in 30 seconds, so Joe has to fill the orders from the overage with the stock that was supposed to be tomorrow and Sundays, is the basics I'm getting from that. Any remaining stock he'll sort out how to deal with after that.. per his facebook post:

E-commerce can get tricky with there being delay time from point A to point B to point C and such, especially in situations like this... limited stock, lots of users all at once trying to buy it, and the server trying to track the orders and inventory live time, while it still has built in timeouts to account for lag spikes and such...
The Slants may be sold out, but I have a dead squirrel for sale.
My dumb dog dragged one through the dog door just before the Slants hit the IB site...here's how it went down when the kids were watching Cartoons and my wife and I were downstairs.

Me: What is it?...(Thinking a stick or some something she pulls out from the recycle bin)
9y old: It's on her dogbed

9y old: It's a dead squirrel

Yes, our 7y old, lovely mixed breed, brindle dog Rita dragged a 1/2 dead squirrel into the house and placed it on her dog bed. She was so proud, panting, tail wagging.
So added to the list of animals she has been known to kill: Vole, Mouse, Chipmunk, Bird(s) and now Squirrel. I think this is the first time she's brought one in the house, but our last dog brought in a baby rabbit she caught and dropped it on the floor for my wife.

Yaaay, no RR Slant for me!! It probably was not going to happen anyway, as I was not planning on sitting on my PC pressing F5 at noon anyways 
#45 spent the evening shining his razors to keep from thinking about RR Slants..... I wish I could have picked one up for a surprise PIF(maybe after a few shaves with it first).... If only...
Don't forget, it's pretty much a gimme that this will be a standard stocked item from RR once they are sure the design is as solid as they can make it. All this round means is that there's no RR slant prototype for those of us that didn't get in on it today. By December, I'd be surprised if a bunch didn't land on the BST for trade, assuming the standard launch happens by Oct/Nov...
I'm still out and free to purchase any shaving product that comes to mind, even on a whim. How liberating!

Been there, done that. However, excellent effort!
Damn, so close to finally getting one.
If you can get it Planete Rasoir has a 25% Donkey Milk Shaving Soap that is fantastic.
Winner! I'll try my best to acquire the donkey soap. If anyone can assist in this endeavor....
The Pils is very nice, I gave mine to a cousin. Much like my first DE, the Futur, and, I assume, the Vision, I truly believe that smooth handled DE razors are the product of idiot savant razor designers of Germany.

If I may offer a suggestion, here is what I would do.
Immediately book a flight to Paris, where Planete Rasoir is located. Shop for the soap in person. If they don't have it at the time, you can make arrangements for the future, and anyway time in Paris is never wasted.
I would also refrain from looking up the translation for the word donkey, but would use the bits of French I have to describe the soap and that it is made from the milk of the animal that is like a horse, but smaller and has bigger ears (hold hands above head to show donkey ears) and makes a sound like this (make braying noise).
Well, that's a recipe for making an *** of yourself in Paris, actually. Maybe you don't want to take my advice.
