1st shave with Blenheim Bouquet.....

I received my BB straight from the UK yesterday and tried it out for the first time today. I must admit after all the hype, it freakin' lives up to it!
I had I the best shave to date today. The fragrance is nice and fresh, it is slick, and it cushions the blade nicely. I had zero irritation, even on my neck after my standard 4 pass shave with a little extra blade buffing. If you have ever had any inclination to try it, you should!

Another believer. People think Pen's is over-hyped, especially in recent months with all the attention paid to the EF reformulation, but their products sure do live up to the all the talk. BB is my favorite cream.

Was the cream originally tallow based, like the soaps? I've not tried either tallow formulation Pen's soaps, nor their cream, but I have both BB and EF in the veggie based variety, and I LOVE them. The scents are amazing and they are still phenomenal performers.

I shaved with Endymion cream this morning, showered with the bath gel and used the balm afterwards. What a treat.

I sure do stink good!

I was also inspired and used the BB cream and ASB today. What a shave. I know Pens gets dinged for price and the soap reformulation, but man do they know scents.

Disclaimer: The opinions below have no weight and can be ignored for the benefit of humanity.

I really like the scents of Penhaligon's creams (big surprise) but I'm not a fan of their quality. Actually, to be specific, the quality of their Castile cream. I didn't find it particularly protective and believe it was inferior in latherability.

For what it's worth, I'm having double the success with the Blenheim Bouquet so it's tops (among Penhaligon creams) in my books.

Note: An Opus sampler is sitting on my shelf, calling out to be used. Will I give the brand a passing grade or will my experience (three samples and approximately 10 shaves) be merely average? The scent alone (which I like just slightly more than the BB) might give it the edge.

I tried it as a super lather with vdh and wow it was great!

Talk about heaven and hell, lol...

To those that have tried the aftershave: I'm also curious about the AS's performance. I'm sure it smells awesome, but at that price point, is it worth it, relatively speaking, or is it just some fancy smelling alcohol?

I shaved at my parents this morning and they have a water softener. I didn't realize how much of a differece that makes overall, not just the quality of the lather.

I had my first shave with the Endymion cream and ASB yesterday. They performed really well and the scent is sublime.

I have the AS. Its fancy alcohol with a little witch hazel in my opinion but after trying quite a bit of it. I put Thayers Superhazel in the bottle with it and it kicked it up in terms of a pleasure to use without destroying the Bouquet smell.
