1984 E3 Super Adjustable

I was lamenting in another member's post last week that I have never seen a SA in person much less found one in the wild and now I have one! 1984, E3. Polished the head, dial and base cap. Just needed a slight safety bar tweak and now all seems...super.. Tonight's shave! Head looks like a slim but the whole thing feels drastically different to a slim. Legitimately excited to try this.

Going to try a red IP in it, but does anyone have a recommendation for a good blade for this? I know what works in this head with a slim handle but the whole thing feels so different comparatively.

This is a very interesting-feeling razor. I never saw a metal base plate SA, but given how this feels, the cheapening of the design inadvertently gave this razor some amazingly good balance between the lighter head and longer handle.

You know, I just shaved with this and I have to say this is probably the best shaving experience out of the adjustable gillettes that I have tried as far as the actual shaving goes. It isn't visually on the same level as the fatboy and it doesn't have the build quality of a slim, but that little bit less weight coupled with the plastic in the head weirdly combine to give you a tremendous amount of tactile and auditory feedback. It feels balanced, loud, and alive. IDK why these don't get talked up more on here...

I kept it on 9 the whole way with a red ip on its 4th shave and arko. WTG, XTG, ATG. Only very minor touch ups needed.
