1958 D-3 TV with an Issue? Or Just a Variation?

I'm back again for diagnosis .. I have two "D" Superspeeds, same knurling on the handle, one a D-1, the other a D-3. The question is, were the endcaps different between quarters or did one lose the outside of a multipiece endcap? Thanks gents

As other folks here can tell you, the end caps can come off, leaving the razor looking like the first one.

Yep, I have a D-3 TV Super Speed and it has the endcaps in place like the razor on the right.

That first razor is just missing the end caps.

Thanks, that is what I surmised, but the one that had the caps wasn't telling me via a gap or joint that there were two pieces..
