Very nice! It looks like a crossbreed between a Böker and a Thiers Issard and that's a good thing in my book.

Torrey 5/8” Our 136 square point shoulderless - it wins the award for cheapest razor bought to date! :001_cool:
So the last time I got a vintage straight with blade etching and noticeable staining/oxidation, I managed to almost completely erase the etching in the process of eliminating the oxidation. Any suggestions on how to avoid that this time around?

I like the lines of this razor. Ever consider letting the razor's experience and maturity show through? There's no rule that says the blade needs to regain it's brand new shine. JMTCW

Made in China, so I'm guessing it will be something like a Gold Dollar. If you can hone it will shave ok. The craftsmanship isn't anything special, I'm guessing the scales are cheap flimsy plastic.
Yes plastic scales, no marking at all.
Going to give honing it a try. I've got a couple stones and an old razor hone that my wife found in an antique store. Along with a Whipped Dog poor man's strop.

Found this one on the doormat yesterday, a Fr. Herder A. S. Nr 32 a 7/8+
some scratches and dirt but is going to clean up fine
