Thanks! I am excited to hone and use today. It feels like it sits pretty flat on the stone even with the subtle smile, since the spine is curved…so it will be a nice experience.

Speaking of this…those three Frederick Reynolds that a genius ground back in the day…they also have a slight smile, but sit perfectly flat on the stone…no rolling x stroke!

Smiling razors do seem to have a small advantage because of the blade profile. However, they can be quite unforgiving if a slizing stroke is used. Don't ask me how I know:)
