My previous long Crystal was binned at 7. This morning’s shave tying my longest used blade peaked my curiosity. As I had been trialing different blades, I had not yet tried for blade endurance. After getting acquainted with the Excalibur thread, I can see this new trial coming into fruition for me prior to Summer travels.

This blade was stunning this AM. Very smooth still and just as efficient as when new.

3 passes today on pace with a 15min Meditation yielded a superb result.

It is lavender as per the name. I opened up the tube in mid 2020 but only used it 2-3 times so I’m not sure if the scent is still the original strength. I will focus on the scent next time I use it, performance is very good.

So I did a test lather, it is a mild and subtle lavender not as earthy and strong as Speick.

That Beagle is such an amazing Brush to face lather but the Barbacco while having a nice scent (warm spices, pipe tobacco) is not as protective as I like so it will go into the shower.

Still out but the 1st shave with the soap that knocked me out. I love the scent of Scottish Heather and it performs wonderfully, I had a great BBS with the soap and with a fresh GEM blade.
