How old are the blades?

excellent question! they are NOS but everything seems to be in perfect condition. Blades are made in England, ill be sure to report the results!

Blade – BIC Chrome Platinum
Brush - 'Papa Chub' (Chubby 3 Manchurian)

Well, another unpleasant shave with the TR-1... I think it's time to face the fact that I have 2 razors that I struggle to get consistently good shaves with... one I find too aggressive, and the other is just too mild for my whiskers.. I guess it's time to thin the herd...

Too bad about the razor. Sometimes a razor has grow on you. I know I've had less than decent shaves from one but came back to it several months later and found that it was almost a completely different razor. But if you can't get a good shave from a razor over a period of time there is no reason to keep it.

in my journeys, any vintage NOS non-stainless blade was a sad experience!
