I usually use 7, but sometimes revert to 5 and 6.

Your Favorite Gillette Adjustable Setting Numbers?

Five on a Slim or Fat Boy, Six on a Super Adjustable.
Same setting, every shave, every blade, every pass.
WTG pass: 3
ATG pass: 2
ATG on upper lip: 1

I haven't used it in a while, but I use a 3 on my Fatboy.
Setting 3 on a Super Adjustable.
I use the same setting, every shave, every blade, every pass. In fact the Super Adjustable's dial has never been moved since setting it @3. The adjustability of the razor is pretty meaningless to me.
3 is about the same level as a typical Superspeed, so the Super Adjustable @3 is basically just a longer handled Superspeed.

I favour No 7 for my Fatboy, Slim and Super...
I use setting 6 throughout my shave. 
I don't a particularly heavy beard, but it IS wiry. I always use the highest setting available on any adjustable. On my Slim, it's at 9...

recently learned 3 is plenty with a feather ,4 with a medical personna,and 5 with many others,especially the egyptian and turkish blades

9 on my Fatboy and lovin' it. But I have a couple of years of straight razor only shaving under my belt so agressive is a good thing to me.
5 on a Fatboy with Super Iridiums works best for me.
6 for the first pass, 3 for subsequent passes. Sometimes go to 2 for touch-ups. If I'm using a duller blade, I'll do the first pass at 7.

With the Fatboy and astra sp I often do a light handed bulk removal on 7 for the first pass then down to three for everything else.
