A man walked into a restaurant and was stopped immediately by the manager. "I'm sorry, sir," he said, "but we have a dress code. You can't come in here without a tie."
The man was stunned. "I don't think I have a tie with me!"
The manager responded, "I'm sorry, sir, but you can't come in."
The man went out to his car and looked to see if he had left a tie in it. He hadn't. In fact, the only thing even vaguely resembling a tie was his jumper cables. He took them on and tied them around his neck, and went back in.
The manager saw him again, looked him over, and said, "All right, you can come in, but don't start anything."
