Worn Out Gold DE Razors

Hey Everone, I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with gold razors, if so, do you know if they are typically gold plated? And does this rub off after a while? I was looking at either the Merkur HD or possibly an OC Golden Razor (haven't found much selection here in Canada)

They just look super nice imo

Yes gold does ware off quicker than say nickel. But it sure does look nice when it is new.

I think every collection should have at least one.

There. That's given me an excuse to go out and buy another razor!
