I would be surprised if it is a Gillette. I doubt Gillette would make a large advertising or promotional prop like that and leave their brand off.

I don't think it's a gillette either, and I'd be surprised if someone paid more than a few hundred, but it is pretty cool

The description says that it's painted.

Still, I don't know why anyone would want it. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to find blades?

check out the back page and page 140 of krumholz's the complete guide to gillette collector's handbook. can't say if there is a gillette logo on them, but sure looks like the same type item, except the one on pg. 140 is an old type and the one on the back page looks like a new improved head.

The only thing that suprised me about this was its in the uk, and you fellows accross the water are always asking each other how to take your shaving gear on flights etc and yet this chap managed it quite easy

Have a look at the sellers other items, my hunch is that it wasn't made by Gillette, looks like he is selling off someone's metal working projects as well as machine tools.
