WILKINSON cream

The 3 worst soaps I know of are the infamous Godrej puck,Caswell-Massey puck and the Wilkinson puck in the blue plastic tub.The German Wilkinson blades are good,I use them, but , IMHO, they are inferior to the old British sword blades.I was hesitant to review the German Wilkinson cream, I thought there would be many others already posted, but a search revealed almost nothing !...After 3 shaves, with 3 different brushes,I feel this cream rates a "fair-good" rating. The lather is a little thin, the lube is mediocre, and the lasting power leaves a lot to be desired. This nice thick aluminum tube, with a great coumarin-citrus scent ,was a gift from a good friend in Croatia, but I do not think I would buy it. It is far, far better than the Wilkinson puck, you can actually get a decent shave with the cream, but there are just SO many other creams, much better in quality,I could not justify purchasing this one.

Nice review, I would suggest trying the Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick. Totally different formulation than the blue bowl. It will probably win this shave cream too as the blue stick has tallow.

I have not had a shave with the stick, but from the other reviews , the stick may be the last really good Wilkinson product...I remember paying extra back in the 60's for the Wilkinson Sheffield ultra thin sword blades...what shaves they gave ! really thin, really sharp, and yet they were slick and smooth with every stroke, the German blades just don't have the same attributes..
