Wilkinson 321115 With 7 Blades

I went to my parents house tonight to get one of my dad's old Rolls Razors. In addition to the Rolls, he gave me a Wilkinson 321115. It's a very neat set. Comes with 7 blades marked with a different day of the week and a strop. Strop threads through the body of the razor for auto-stroping. Does anyone have any experience with one of these? My dad said that of all the safeties he used to use, he liked this one the best.

I would be interested in your comments.

Blades are not throw aways, he would strop them, but I don't think they were ever honed. The instructions in the kit say "when a blade needs replacing, which is seldom, slide it out of its clip and replace with a Wilkinson LONGLIFE Blade. All Blades are standard and interchangeable." I am guessing that while still available, the blades were just replaced not honed. There is handwriting on the instructions that says "660 1st avenue" perhaps this was where replacements could be purchased in New York.

Yes. I read somewhere you used and stropped them, and when they got dull, in , let's say a year, you would buy new ones.
