White Residue with D.R. Harris Arlington?

This morning I used D.R. Harris Arlington soap for the first time, and I got a fantastic shave but after shaving, I noticed that I got a bit of white residue as I was rubbing in my aftershave and I don't know if that's shaving soap that did not rinse completely or something else.

Here's the summary...

I prepped as usual with a hot shower and washed my face. Had two really nice passes with the DRH Arlington, and I followed my shave with a warm water rinse followed by a cold water rinse as usual. Then I patted dry and splashed on Chanel Blue A/S splash. As I was rubbing in the splash, I noticed a white residue (like a watered down balm) on my neck. The more I rubbed, the more the residue increased. I ended up rinsing with water again and repeating but again I got the residue.

This was my first time to use D.R. Harris soap, so I'm wondering if this soap does not rinse well or is it perhaps something else.

P.S. This was not the first time for me to use the Chanel Bleu A/S... I've been using it daily for the last few days after TOBS soap and ADP cream with no white residue. So, maybe it's the D.R. Harris soap???

Any thoughts?

Sounds like you need to rinse more. I get this with Mitchell's Wool Fat too. The soaps that lather tremendously when water is continually added without having to add more product seem to take more to rinse off. A little bit of a double edged sword maybe.

This makes sense because it was only one spot (hard to rinse area on the neck) that was doing this. Ok, problem solved... simple! Thanks.

+1

Right so. It's my Arlington week and, yes, you've got to rinse more.

Excellent soap, BTW.
