What's new

Whipped Dog

I'm not a straight user (yet), but was on Larry's website and saw he had a Twitter feed. I check out a feed and saw this:

Channel 11 News came by my house, video'd 45 minutes of me shaving and talking. Special short segment next week on local Dallas TV. It was posted on Oct 14.

If anyone sees this or finds it posted on the news website, pass it along. Be neat to see.

Wow! Go Larry! Hopefully they do post it on their site. If not, perhaps some cunning B&Ber will record the story for us so we cam see it too. :w00t:

David, cool, thanks.

Off topic - Browns Mills huh? My wife grew up near Presidential Lakes. And yes, I have scrapple and pork roll in my fridge right now, know what a Wawa is and a jug handle. :tongue_sm

More off topic.

I'm a Native BaltiMoron, and call Charm City home ... can't wait to move back there.

I live in Browns Mills because I work a Civilian job at Fort Dix (now known as Joint-Base Maguire-Dix-Lakehurst.) I know where PL is, but I live in its down-scale cousin, Country Lakes. I buy my cigarettes at WaWa (over in Bensalem, PA, save $2 a pack on taxes.) Not a big fan of scrapple, but even when I lived in Baltimore, I liked Philadelphia Cream Cheese.

Seeing Larry would be great. Good publicity is always nice. That would be great for wet shaving and for Larry's business. He really has been so dedicated to newbies, he deserves it.:thumbup:

My wife works at maybe the only doll shop in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that rebuilds dolls. Channel 11 does short vignettes on interesting and unusual stories and people, and they did a piece on Enchanted Dolls, which is the name of the shop. My wife told the journalist he should contact me about straight razors. Next thing I know, the guy emails me wanting to set up a time to film.

But, then he dropped off the face of the map with some lame excuse about being tied up several weeks covering the Texas State Fair. Like, come on! What's more important? Big Tex and the Texas State Fair or Ol Lar and Straight Razors!

You know the answer! But, I gave him a break.

(I included pictures of Big Tex at the fair, and Ol Lar (me) right before my shave so you can be the judge.)

Anyway, he showed up the other day and filmed about 45 minutes, which will be cut down to 90 seconds. It will show during the 4-5p segment sometime this week.

I'm a little nervous though. I wasn't nervous during the photo shoot. But, the editing could easily make me look bad. For example, I whipped up some lather and said something about being able to make very sudsy meringue-looking lather. But, that I didn't care too much about lather beyond getting it to a consistency that would keep my whiskers soapy and wet for as long as possible. If he cuts out my assertion that I know how to make foamy lather, you guys will be laughing at the lather on my face.

But, then my wife always says, "Larry, if you knew how little people think about you, you wouldn't worry so much about what they think about you!"

I guess that makes me feel better...

Yes, I mentioned B&B and SRP. I hope he doesn't cut that out, as it is very important that guys get hooked up with a community.

+1 for those of us who don't live in the US. I'd love to see this!

Aren't you the one who posted the beautiful pictures of that model? I'm still in a state of worship.

If pictures (videos) of me were posted, it would be darkness.
Pictures of that model were posted, and that was light.

I little ying yang?
