Which Japanese Shaving Products?

After being inspired by a thread about Japanese Aftershaves, I have decided to make a trip to a Mitsuwa marketplace near me this evening to pick a few up.

Are there any other Japanese shaving products that I should pick up when I'm there? The only thing I am not interested in is razor blades, since I am a straight shaver.

Other than Aftershaves, there isn't much. Their "shave soaps" are crappy at best. The AS that are still made in Japan are best IMO. Bravas and MG5 were my two favourite and are now made in Vietnam. I only tried the MG5 and it's not the same. It's not bad but not worth the extra dollars.

If you find some Mandom, jump on it and push everyone that's standing on your way. Lucido is the same but unscented. Vintage is also a great AS.

It's some kind of very intoxicating mandarin scent. It's quite nice. I love menthol in my AS but that would be one of the few exceptions.

Sounds like some interesting options as I never considered the Mitsua near me and haven't been in there since the toy/hobby shop closed in ours.
Anything to keep an eye out for for those of us that do DE other than the AS?

Lucido is my favorite. I like to add a drop of Proraso to the Lucido it to help dilute the strong scent. Good stuff!

There really isn't much here.
There are aftershaves, as mentioned above and in the other thread.
Feather DE blades and Feather Popular razors are also available, as are Injector blades.

Beyond that, I've found nothing else of note in six and a half years here.

I would say so as Bravas was reported made in Vietnam now. That one (Japanese version) is really old school and really nice IMO.

Mitsuwa hasn't had Mandom aftershave in stock in quiet a while, but they do have the hair tonic.

I've checked the Costa Mesa and Torrance stores. You might try Marukai in Costa Mesa. Also, check the Shisiedo counter one you go.

One day I was there and they had Basala/Basara aftershave. It's been discontinued for a while and I was surprised to see it for sale.
