Does anyone collect Mens Grooming/Travel Shaving Kits ?

Years ago before Airport Security went over the top bananas I was on a plane 2/3 times a month to everywhere that bought or sold expensive Hi-Fi systems and I needed to be clean-shaven for 2-4 days at a time.

So I used vintage Mens grooming/shaving kits which were all a lot better than electric shavers, cartridges and disposables to me at least.

I've always had long head hair - a foot to three foot but I like a short well-trimmed moustache, no sideburns and no beard at all so I used the little lightweight Gillette and other ones in the kits.

At the time I had no idea about razor makes or models and when I landed here a few months ago I found out that most of the kits contained an English or American Tech Travel - I didn't know what they were called at the time.

I have supplemented a few of the above cases with little white folding mirrors which I don't need but the Dragon does when we go abroad and little cans of shaving oils which is better than nothing when in a rush or not near running water.
Travelling I don't need a brush - i can use any soap available direct on my face.

Do you make your own custom travel kits up when you go abroad Gents and what kit is crucial for you to take ?

Great collection.

no abroads here for me. I barely left NJ.

Hi-Fi? Were your abroad trips to a bunch of different countries?
Yep losing I was the International Sales Executive for a British High End Hi-Fi company and ended up going to over sixty Countries and over thirty U.S. States - it was a hard life HaHa !

I was in New York a few times; that was the closest I got to New Jersey - loved it but that was 30 years ago !

Not that NJ is a touristy type place a 5 minute to over an hour train ride from NY city could get you through and down the east coast of NJ and down to Atlantic City. A 45 minute-ish train ride would get you to South Amboy where i was one of the last people to be born in and where i lived in or around nearly my whole life. I would have been 21 or so 30 years ago. And i drove a cab for South Amboy Taxi which was located next to the south bound train tracks and train commuters i picked up several times a day and night. And the long train rides are because it's mainly a commuter trains to take people to the city or back to NJ for their jobs.
