Which Blades Consistently Give You The Closest Shave?

Which blades consistently give you the closest shave, almost each and every shave, without fail?

I'm still sampling various blades, but so far, Derbys or Feathers seem to be my "go to" blade for a near-certain BBS shave.

Crystal IPs are the only blade to give me a BBS. I've tried Feathers, Derbys... and only Crystals can do it. The Red Pack Personnas give me a nice comfortable shave, but not BBS.

Blades are so personal - Crystals are the only blade I ever used that I couldn't even finish shaving with because they hurt me so bad

For a super smooth shave I use Feathers, BlueBirds or Astra Platinum.

There are many blades that I have not tried. My experience so far has kept me coming back to Feathers.

So far, the only blade that really works for me is the feather. I've tried Astra, Derby, IPs, Lord and Sharks

Derbys work well for me, I find Astra Keramiks very good also and long lasting(but future availability seems to be uncertain).

I've only tried one so far but Gillette Super Thin seem excellent - close smooth and 9 shaves from it

astra platinum...but i haven't really tried that many brands...but this one works pretty good for me.

Blades are quite personal.
Here's what I found

Derbys: Good but not the best, great blade to start with / test new razors with to get a feel, they wont' punish you for mistakes

Astra Super Platinum: Love em, smooth shave in 4 passes, but you need to be careful with them, they'll let you know if you made a mistake.

For me it's Crystals, although I have few complaints about the Red Pack Personnas.

So far I have tried Merkur, Personnas (US), Red Pack Personnas, Lord, and Astra
The Red Pack Personnas seem to be the best for me so far, or at least the smoothest and without irritation. Lord has been giving me some razor burn, will try one more of these blades and then....

Feathers in my HD are a never fail combination

I like the Red Pack Personnas but as my technique improves I find that the Feathers give me the closest shaves with the least iratation.

This is a far cry from my very first de shaves, I used a Feather for 3 or 4 before switching to Crystals and then Personnas. The Feather shaves were all out bloodbaths.
