where's my Velva?

I lost 2 bottles of aqua velva this summer. When the third one disappeared too, I got suspicious. where did they go?

turns out SWAMBO, has thrown them out. I guess she didn't like the scent. apparently, my clubman, and old flannel shirt went to live on a farm too!!!

I could be mad but I'm not. Instead, I am going to get me some replacements (that don't coast 4 dollars a bottle) from europe.

All that passive-agressive is gonna turn into passive-agressive-expensive pretty soon.

Reminds of when my wife and I were first married, she would wash a sweater of mine that she liked to shrink it to fit her.

Lost a couple of sweaters with that trick.

I've only noticed 1 or 2 significant others on this forum njoying the scent of AV. My girlfriend had a kind of unbiased reaction to classic sport out of the bottle.

I may switch to Witch Hazel as an AS exclusively anyway due to the nice faint smell.

Mine did that too!!! Although it was with sweatshirts... It's amazing how much she could shrink them if she really wanted to. :001_smile

Maybe it's only a girlfriend thing, because I have gotten numerous compliments from ladies while wearing AV--suffice it to say, none have been my girlfriend.

I'd take a couple of her favorite rings or bracelets to the pawn shop, pocket the cash and simply explain that I didn't like the way they looked on her. :thumbup1:

She's getting between you and your Aqua Velva? Well if you can't live without the Velva my suggestion to you is look into getting a divorce.

That's why I always do my own laundry.

Ha... I'll take my chances and avoid the most mundane, boring task in history... Now if someone came up with a 'Soap & Suds' forum where everybody was totally into laundry and had great advice on how to do it - then maybe I could get into it. Until then, I'll just wear sweatshirts that are too small for me.

To me, the most mudane task is folding. If someone wants to do that for me, fine. My reason for doing my own laundry is I'm very particular about what gets dried in the dryer, and what gets hung to air dry. I've lost a lot of clothes to shrinkage, caused inadvertently by myself. Now that I have the wisdom of some very hard-learned lessons, I don't entrust my better duds to anybody else, unless it's a professional.

+1. Dress shirts, pants, and the "fancy" clothes hit the dry cleaners--my working clothes get special attention, with shirts air drying--everything else I use to be lazy around the house or go into public just gets washed, dryed, and folded; I'm a wrinkled look kind of guy.
