It's a real place, somewhere in the American Southwest, or close to it.
Hint #2: This formation is named for its resemblance to an item worn by people in hot, sunny climates.

Ok, I see the hat now - here's one with a similar shape at the top, albeit a bit wetter than Utah ..
I'm guessing somewhere in the Canadian Maritimes or coastal Maine. It's going to be difficult without identifying marks like a cross or candy stripe.

Is this actually a full-size lighthouse, or maybe a miniature replica? I was just noticing the trees seem quite tall in relation to the structure, if it were a full-size lighthouse.

Could it be the Marblehead Lighthouse on the Lake Erie coast in Ohio? It does seem similar.
