WHAT's your favorite HALLOWEEN candy?

Hi Gents: I hope all is well with you & your families. With Halloween nearing . . . I thought it would be fun to have a discussion on our favorite Halloween candy.

I'll start. My Halloween favorites are candy corn, Double Bubble Gum, Whoppers, and bite-sized Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and BabyRuths. So. . . how 'bout you? What is your favorite Halloween candy?

"In my day" getting anything chocolate was the exception and not the rule, compared to today where everybody seems to have to have top quality candy. It was a major treat to get a $100k bar or a Reese's. But my favorites still were Smarties and Fun Dips. IMHO the great scourge of high fructose corn syrup has ruined many of our candies, not the least of which is the candy corn. It's still ok but leaves something to be desired.

I don't eat candy, so I give out cans of smoked oysters. You should see their little faces.

One year I saw this toddler come up the my walk way and with great effort climbed up on the first and only stairs. Both hands planted right leg up on the stairs and OOOF! he pulld himself to the top of the one stair. His prize the bucket of candy Well, I was so focused on this tyke and his efforts that I didn't notice the gent standing beside him amongst all the kids coing and going. He was dressed in black and thus I couldn't see his size. But once I did focus I realized this dad was HUGE! Like 6'10 400lbs!! I couldn't help but ask :Is this your son?" he replied yes. I was amazed that this little guy who could barely hold a mini Snickers bar would turn into him.
