I'd like to report an attempted poisoning by my wife this morning: a "smoothie", with banana, oatmeal, frozen berries, yoghurt, Yakult, chia seeds, maca root and flaxseed. With all this WFH, she's been Googling again.

She didn't add the coconut oil, almond butter, and pumpkin seeds.

What does that mean?

I did come to realize after the fact (and after cutting open some other figs) that these ones were not a ripe as they could have been. If you are new to fresh figs as I am, when they are fully ripe they should be a much deeper red inside.

Glad you could ... *ahem* ... FIG-ure that out.

What does that mean?

Eggs are cooking in a puddle of oil and bacon drippings. With a spatula you splash the grease over the top of the eggs. So sunny side up + splashing.

It does take a bit longer to cook them slowly, but it really is about the softest fluffiest eggs you'll ever eat.

Oh man, I’m hungry now. Now I know I am not a cretin because I whisk my eggs with a fork (I also flip frying bacon with a fork)- a chef does it.

Went out for breakfast this morning as a reward for a dry week: fried eggs on toast, grilled bacon, extra egg, tea. Much better than slurry.
