What's with all the Viking shave products?

Viking revolution, striking Viking, vikings blade, etc.

What is with all the Viking advertising? I'm pretty sure real Vikings probably used whale blubber and an axe to shave with, if they shaved at all.

I'm not picking on these products, I just don't get the hype over Vikings. Is that the hot topic in marketing right now?

The Viking shaving cream was existing in Bulgaria in the early 80s I am sure about that.
