Fruit salad mangos, bananas, oranges, and strawberries tossed in Panera (25 cal.!) poppy seed dressing served on cottage cheese.

Leftover Indian food (from El Paso, of all places!). Butter chicken and paneer tikka masala are maybe safe choices but these were executed perfectly. We will be more adventurous with the menu next visit.

Lunch at the school of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at New Mexico State University. We are so fortunate to have these great opportunities for community involvement with the school. The students did a wonderful job. I had the salad, fish and semolina cake. The fish was really good especially considering how easy it is to overcook.

Oyatsu Dog — jalapeños & cheddar & Zenner sausage in a mind-blowing cloudlike bun from a local portal to heaven (disguised as a Japanese bakery).

Burgers from scratch. Tried out the new grinder attachment. Thanks to Tannhauser for the great advice on chilling the meat and grinder. I kept the grinder blades in ice water until I was ready to assemble and I thawed the short rib in the kegerator at just above freezing. Very happy with the grind! Used my cheap griddle, from Costco, on the Weber. Made my burger a double smashed style with cheese, wife just wanted a regular quarter pounder. The results were delicious.

I don't know what's for lunch, but I just got through making a big batch of Dill Pickle Pasta Salad to go with it for next few days. I'll let it sit in the fridge for a couple of hours and let the wife find it on her own.

Tried a new place near the office which does a set lunch, North Indian. Dhal, butter chicken, raita, onion salad, naan, popadum and a dessert, not sure of the name but quite light, milky yoghurt with mixed nuts and cardamom, all for $12.90. Not bad.
