Whatcha' having on July 4th?

For us fellow Americans July 4th is a day of fireworks, parades, BBQ, and of course a libation or two. Anybody having anything special this Independance Day? If the weather holds, I plan on having a couple of Summer Shandy's and maybe a glass of bulleit while watching the local fireworks.

If anything it'll be something very light. Maybe a light wheat beer. A little brewery out here in Dallas called Deep Ellum brews a Farmhouse Wit that they put in a tall can. May do that. If not I've got some SA Boston Lager and Latitude IPA that needs to be put down. Kind of taking a break from any alcohol right now, so I may just drink water only.

Gin and tonic. Half a lime worth of juice in each drink ,lots of ice and good gin.

Turns out I scored a four pack of Lakewood Temptress which is an imperial milk stout. Wow it's good. Also got a four pack of Boulevard Tank 7 for the little lady. Happy 4th everybody!

I had aTempleton Old Fashioned earlier. Budweiser right now. Burgers and kabobs going on the grill. Bud seemed a solid choice.

Anchor Brewing Liberty Ale. Seemed fitting for the occasion so I picked it up. Not a bad ale, IMO.

After trying a single of Left Hand Milk Stout, I stopped and picked up a 6-pack after dinner. They had the Nitro-Stout as well, figured I'd try it another day. The Sixer is chilling.....maybe 8 more minutes......

That is a nice combo. Although I ordered a Newcastle with dinner and it was skunked-BAD. Never have had such a bad Newcastle. That's why I picked up the Left Hand on the ride home.

Enjoying a Ramos Gin Fizz at the moment. Worth the sore arms!

We just moved from NYC to San Francisco and are temporarily staying with the in-laws. One plus is that I found the case of Hayman's Old Tom Gin that was left over after our wedding here three years ago. 6 bottles left!
