It looks like a short 40's TTO Super Speed for travel. Not all that common either.

They are gold plated and are more like mini-Milords than anything else. I have two of them, and they are both in excellent condition. The gold plating on them must actually be a bit thicker than on Milords because mine don't have that reddish tinge on the handle that nearly all Milords do. They may have been a '47 only production item--both of mine are unnotched. I'd be interested to know if MTgrayling's is also unnotched.

I had to pull one out and look at it to check (they are in a box in my closet, but you are indeed correct. Funny that I hadn't noticed that before.

Yes un-notched, no end caps and the Ranger Tech/early Milord blade tray so I guess that makes it a 1941? It's a cute little thing.
