What ingredient do you dread seeing in a shave product's ingredients list?

Salicylic acid/aspirin.
I am unaware of any products that actually contain aspirin, which, by the way, is acetyl salicylic acid, not salicylic acid.
Salicylic acid works as an exfoliant and has some skin benefits, although I would not want it in a shave product. Shaving is exfoliating enough without it.

Neutrogena Men’s Skin Clearing Shave Cream has salicylic acid. Some folks are sensitive to salicylates whether it’s aspirin, turmeric, or skin care/shaving stuff.

Gotcha. No one should take a nip of salicylic acid to reduce risk of coronary incidents or ease a headache or chills. From my standpoint, aspirin seemed like good enough shorthand. Like saying one gets sick from cumin, but specifically mentioning the same result with curcumin.
