Monday's shave: President's Day.

A beautiful day in AZ today. First, the hardware: UK Aristocrat razor, Feather blade, and Simpson Chubby Best Brush. A very nice combo. The software: AoS Lavender soap, tallow formula, a soap I wish was still around today. Fortunately, I have three refills in various scents. Finished with a splash of Thayers Rose Petal WH and Pinaud Clubman. After a shower some Jimmy Choo Man Intense fragrance. A perfect shave: 10/10.

3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG, and a little touch-up. DFS ++
So today I brought out my seldom-used Mamba .70 and decided to try a Derby Premium again. What a difference the razor made! The Derby was smooth from the get-go. I believe it's the best shave I've had with the Mamba since I purchased it. A little irritation around my Adam's apple area but that's on me. Pleasantly surprised.
BTW the soap was pretty good also...............

Well, this is interesting. Exact same setup and method as yesterday, but with my (favorite) R41 this time. I must say the Rocca was noticeably more comfortable and I can't really tell a difference in closeness between the two. I've been bragging on the R41 for a while now, but the more I shave with the Rocca (a lot lately) the more I think it might be inching up into my favorite spot. I'll try the Rocca again tomorrow to see if yesterday's shave was a fluke.

Fourth straight razor shave:

Razor: Ralf Aust 5/8”
Soap: SV Felce
Brush: Simpson Chubby 1 Super

Two pass, WTG / XTG. Getting better. Starting to get a feel for it and have found at least one way to comfortable get at all areas. Closer result than last time but a bit of irritation. Too many attempts at some areas...

Holiday Monday here in Canada today. Took extra time to shave and put a new Feather Super in my Asylum RX. Blade feel! :eek2:
Took extra time to be careful using RR Cube preshave and Panna Crema Blu lathered in a Doug Smith bowl with a Shavemac 3 band badger.
No major problems, but kinda sore.

8/10.
