Fantasic shave!
I just love the Proraso Preshave Cream with the MDC soap, can leave on after shave for as long as I like while rinsing stuff, and skin just seems to love every second of it!

Prep: Hot Shower
Cream: Cremo Original

Not sure why my shaves have been so bad lately.

Hot shower;
GD pre-shave;

Todays shave:
Warm shower
Bluebeards Revenge Preshave Oil
MDC Original soap
Bowl lather
Muhle Stylo Synthetic
Rockwell 6S, plate 3
Astra SP Green, second shave
Proraso Green AS
LEA AS

Yet another fantastic shave!
Must honestly say that a thicker oil like Bluebeards does seem to protect the skin a little bit more than Proraso preshave cream, even though I like Proraso very much for the nice Menthol sting and skin feel postshave.

Pre: Cool Shower
Soap: Murphy and McNeil, mix of Naia and Kells
Brush: WSP Silvertip Stubby
Bowl:6" suribachi mortar
Initial Hacking (9th attempt at straight razor use): 5/8" Henckels Full Hollow

5/10, some razor burn, but less than previous straight shaves, not bad for a clumsy guy who's just learning to use a straight
Murphy and McNeil is super slick and forgiving for straight use, IMO.

I would give it a 10 but Feather left some stubble behind. Probably gonna toss it. Also mods if you are watching this thread please pin it to the top of the page, seems like an interesting concept by OP.

Feather blade, third and final use.
Omega shave cream from tub, added 5 drops liquid glycerine to timeless bowl and lathered with a Razorock 400 synthetic brush.
Aftershave was some inexpensive Gillette balm.

Nothing beats a fresh Feather blade. I gave the Caribbean Holiday another chance. Cooling effect then a nice warm breeze. I shaved during the morning it's 2 A.M at the time of writing this and I can still smell the aftershave.
