Yesterday, I confirmed I need the "mild but efficient" razors. I've tried level 1, 2 and 3 base plates for the Green Cult 2.0. The sweet spot for me is the Level 2. What a nice shaving razor it is.
Glad to hear, my friend.Yesterday, I confirmed I need the "mild but efficient" razors. I've tried level 1, 2 and 3 base plates for the Green Cult 2.0. The sweet spot for me is the Level 2. What a nice shaving razor it is.
What did you learn from your safety razor shave today?
Enjoy every minute of it steria9.That I spend way too long time shaving...
BigJ I’m probably “no thrills”, but one thing I learned many years ago is shaving should be relaxing and enjoyable without fighting a tired blade so I’m finished with a blade after no more than 3 shaves, (the majority of the time). After I run out I will just get some more, but with my inventory that should be several years down the road.Sometimes a ‘new’ (to me) blade is far, far better than expected!
Trying a Sputnik (PPI I believe) blade for the first time this week. So far 9.5, 10 and 10 on a scale of 1-10. Cannot get much better than that!
Now the questions are about longevity and blade to blade variation. But a joy in any case!!
I certainly admire those boys over at GRUME….I don’t have their discipline for sure.I'm stocked up on almost everything just in case I slip up and join one of the GRUME groups. <eg> So far, I've been able to fight off the urge.
Careful there - I might just accidentally place your name in the list!I'm stocked up on almost everything just in case I slip up and join one of the GRUME groups. <eg> So far, I've been able to fight off the urge.
Haha…..I’m afraid I would be held in violation almost immediately.Careful there - I might just accidentally place your name in the list!
Well no worries. Last year my track record was 2/10 I think - but I manage to fail on the first day and I managed even to fail in the last few hours of the last day. So I am definitely not pointing fingers!Haha…..I’m afraid I would be held in violation almost immediately.
That Lupo .95 will indeed spoil you, along with the .72Today I learned that I'm getting very spoiled by the automatic 2 pass WTG/XTG DFS+ from my Lupo .95
I'm finding that when I use other razors I end up touching up with the Lupo anyway.
The 'big bad wolf' is gunning hard for top spot in the rotation.
Different strokes for different folks Guido. That is why we enjoy this daily ritual (hobby) so much!I learned that even though the PermaSharp delivers excellent results, this blade and me are just no match.
