I'm not surprised - I had about the same success rate earlier on. I was initially glad when my puck finally got used up but now I want more! Load longer? That stuff likes it rough.
I put a few drops of water on the MWF puck before I get in the shower. After I use a damp, but not wet brush to load and face lather. I also notice that MWF does better used every day than as part of a rotation.
MWF (and Mike's) don't like hot water. Make sure you soak your brush in warm not hot water and you will be rewarded. Also loading for a long time helps too.
90% of the time I use a scuttle. I find soaking the brush while I'm taking a shower. I leave the MWF dry. When I get out of the shower I dump the water from the bowl of the scuttle and give the brush a few gentle shakes to remove the water. MWF is not an expensive soap so don't skimp on it. I remember reading a while back that a member here said say the ABC's in your head a few times to get the proper amount of loading time with the soap.
The main thing is don't give up! MWF is a great soap once you get the hang of it.

I always face lather with MWF and have never had a problem using it this way. Builds an Arko like thick creamy lather just like Arko.
I have the water heater here sat at 118 degrees so my water is always warm never hot. Try using water that is comfortable to stick your hands in instead of very hot water.
MWF requires more work than other soaps. What works for me is:
1. Soak the brush while I am in the shower.
2. Remove brush from scuttle, let water drain out of it until it changes from a steady stream to drops.
3. Begin building lather. It will go through several phases - at first it will do nothing, then explode with lather. Keep going until the lather is quite thick.
4. Face lather. At this point, begin adding more water until the lather takes a nice shine. Switch to scuttle, and build the lather there. If it isn't shiny, add a little water until it is.
