Hey Guys!! There are a couple of wetshaving products up for vote in the FHM grooming products awards!!! The Bluebeard's Revenge cream, and their branded razor the Scimitar (a rebranded EJ DE89??) are in the running for the competition. Agreed. Especially their choices for "old school" aftershaves? No Pinaud, no Aqua Velva and no Old Spice? What a bunch of Nancy boys!

I agree. These polls pop-up once in a while in a pathetic attempt to get rid of duds.
As for "the best shaving cream of the year", read the ingredients list before you put it on your face.

Ashamed? Why? I agree some of the categories are stupid, and the choices are not necessarily great, BUT it is a great choice to get our kinds of products noticed. I see no reason to be ashamed at all.

Thanks for the voting guys, much appreciated. Although the magazine may not be everyone's cup of tea or the selections a bit strange, the FHM has a large circulation here in the UK, especially amongst the younger generation. An award would help the Bluebeards cause which is ultimately about taking great quality traditional shaving products into the high street which we've done with some success having already broken into two major UK chains.

Hi guys, thanks for all the votes from B&B members. Whilst we didn't win the 'Best Razor' award with the Scimitar, we did scoop the Product Of The Year award with The Bluebeards Revenge Shaving Cream! We are obviously delighted, especially as FHM is targetted towards males aged 18-35 which is a key market for us to educate the masses to the joys of wet shaving! Thanks again to all who voted, very much appreciated.

I love that Scimitar, and I wouldn't even give the EJ DE89 a second glance! There is something to be said for style. If there was an open comb option I would definitely add that to my arsenal.
