Watch help/ Bernhardt info?

Gentlemen, I've decided to buy a watch. I could use some help though. I'm a young guy, but haven't worn a watch in years. Can any one point me to a website or give me the basics about watch type and maintenance, etc?

Secondly, I've been going through the watch ya wearing thread, and like the look of the bernhardts, but can't seem to find much info about theme here, and their website is a little sparse. How does the quality of these watches compare to more common brands? I assume they make a good watch as they were used for the B&B LE watch. They seem to be website based as well, so hopefully shipping and duties are not killer to here.

Any othe info about them would be great. Oh, if it helps, it's the sea shark I've been looking at. I'd also be willing to listen to any more reccomemdations in the 150-300 dollar range as well.

Thanks!

Check out www.timezone.com You'll get a lot of information about all different types of watches and different price ranges. Like with razors, don't be afraid of used/vintage.

Sorry, but I can't give any specific information about Bernhardt.

Timezone is a good resource. Another I like is the Poor Man's Watch Forum.

I don't know much about Bernhardt, either. However, check out the forums and don't be afraid of vintage watches. You can get great value at great prices.

I've never owned one of their watches although they have a couple that do appeal to me. From what I have read on the watch forums, the watches are well made and an excellent value. The owner provides very good customer service when needed. I think you can buy in confidence from them.

This might not necessarily what you want, but orient is having a 49% off deal right now. This puts their mako (I currently have a blueone, its awesome) which gets very good reviews under a hundred bucks, which is a ridiculous deal.

It's not an unfriendly forum by any means, but they're not as welcoming to newbies. They're sometimes rather "judgmental" about some watch brands, especially the less expensive ones.

WatchUSeek is a nice forum too - especially for newbies. It's very friendly and they don't look down their nose as much when discussing inexpensive watches or even homage watches.

I own a Corsair and it my favorite so far. This watch has very high end features for a cheap I bought it at the mall price. So far its been very accurate, and its very easy to read. Trust me thats important whey you get older:eek2:.
