Does anyone remember those old nickle tabs that used to be on higher end corkscrews, that they claimed would age a glass of wine a year for every so many seconds you submerged it? Did they actually do anything?

The oldest bottle of wine I own is from 1978. Yes, it has been in my family for all those years.
Still waiting for the right occasion to open it.
