What's new

w00t! My first Proraso "Shaving Soap in a Bowl" just arrived...

Since starting with wet shaving 2-3 months ago, I've used nothing but my original Art of Shaving sandlewood shaving cream. Today the gentleman from UPS kindly delivered my first foray into something different - Proraso "shaving soap in a bowl," for sensitive skin. I don't know how sensitive my skin is, I bought this without seeing the "sensitive skin" part - but it can't hurt, right? (No pun intended.)

Purchased on amazon.com. The entire package is written in Italian except "Shaving Soap in a Bowl." It has a very light scent which I can't describe. I'm so excited about trying something new that I'm going to go take a shower (it's 2:15 in the afternoon [and I work from home]) and give it a whirl.

Woohoo!

I have the old formulation in the white bowl, green tea and aloe. Great, delicate scent (as you described), just enough menthol to cool you at the end without burning your face up and loads and lathers like a dream. You will enjoy it immensely!

I just got the white tub soap 2 days ago. So awesome. I've been using AoS lemon. Think I like the Proraso better. You'll enjoy it for sure

Proraso, old and new formula, is excellent. Since you're already familiar with AoS, pick up some of their soap. It's some of the very best out there.

It's been a long time since I've used my Proraso. I may have to use it again soon. It's really good stuff.

I alternate between Cella & Proraso....its hard to make a choice....they're both great soaps and work equally well with my Semogue 620 brush....cheers, rich

The green tub followed by the splash - such a great way to feel during and after the shave and for such a reasonable outlay. The Italian boys do a good job.

Using the new formula red and white as well as old formula green. Like them all. Good overall performance, nice scent and easy to lather. I really like the white ASB too.

I also have the new green pre-shave. Not sure on that though. The scent is almost like tiger balm, very cooling and I'm not sure if I like/need/want a pre-shave treatment.
