I just bought a Fat Boy and the seller threw in an unopened pack of vintage Gillette Blue Blades, made in the USA. Are they likely to give a decent shave, or should I just keep them for Malaysia's sake?
Carbon blades shave different than stainless steel blades. IMHO they shave rougher, more tugging and pulling, than stainless steel blades. If in pristine condition they give a great shave and although not as smooth shaving as stainless steel blades give a great irritation free shave. Many of the carbon blades I have tried give me less irritation than current stainless steel blades. If the edges of the blades upon inspection look pristine, give it a go. These may be uncoated blades. Gillette Super Blue blades are coated blades and shave a little smoother. Good luck.
