Does Anyone only use vintage DE blades?

I'm curious if anyone else out there is as obsessed with only using vintage pemium blades as I am? I only recently (about year ago), began using vintage Gillette TTO razors. Being a user and collector of fine cutlery and a believer in old is almost always better then new, I sought out US made blades, and others from countries known for a history of fine blade making (Germany, France, and England), and completly dismissing anything from Eastern Europe or Asia. I like Gillette Platium plus, super stainless, and super blue, Schick plus platium and English made Wilkinson super sword blades.I have seen discussions complaining that these older premium blades are too expensive, but somehow in my diligence I have managed to amass a huge supply for less then a dollar per blade. Which even being of meager means seems rather inexpensive for a quality blade. I'm interested in hearing other's opinions and experiences?

Have you read this:

I agree with you 100%. I primarily use Gillette spoilers and UK Wilkinson blades. Over the past 5-6 years I have been able to acquire a nice stash. I am always looking to add more but it has been getting harder to score deals on the good stuff. I try to keep pricing under 50cents/blade to keep the shave/cost ratio acceptable. Most modern blades can be had for 10cents/blade that I toss after 1 shave where I get 5 good shaves from a Gillette spoiler.

I use vintage razor blades for many of my shaves. Being judicious in my purchases, I try not to spend more than $.50 a blade. Spoilers, English Wilkes, Schick platinum plus, and 74s all provide upwards 10 or more quality shaves per blade. The cost per shave ratio isn’t dramatically different than a modern blade. I could happily shave with all modern tools, but I really enjoy using the same stuff I used when I first learned the art of shaving.

From time to time, I'll use 70s GILLETTE Super Silver. Picked up some Partner blades —partners for life. I am going to be trying them soon.

Jyden blades are not bad at all, and they are easy to resharpen. If you want to talk inexpensive, that is the real way to go 😉

I would like to retry a pack of vintage Gillette BLUE BLADES, recall back in G.O.D. = Good Old Days that were the blade of choice for many. Cheap, plentiful, and sold everywhere.

I have just come across this old unused Made in England Gillette Blue with an A 1 serial number. Is this blade as I suspect from 1930 ,the first year and first month of production ? Did Gillette US introduce the Blue earlier in the US than in the UK? All information would be welcome.
