vdh deluxe & yardley?

just wondering if anyone has melted these 2 together?

i like the yardley aroma and want o try to make it into a shave soap -

gonna let the candle warmer melt them -

should i grate them 1st?



anyone done this -

or should i not do this -

You're kidding, right? . . . Right? . . . If not, NO, please don't melt Yardley soap.

Especially to mix with VDH.

You have to mill the Yardley. I would mill the two of them, mix them together, and then press into a new cake of soap.

Make sure you have at least half again as much VDH as Yardley; i.e., 3 parts VDH to 1 part Yardley, or you might get a soap that smells great but doesn't perform like a shaving soap.

I called the concoction "Yardley-Hagen" and it worked pretty well!
