Heh I always shave after I shower, and it makes me mad that the mirror just keeps fogged. Tried some of the anti fog made for car windows, and it works great. Maybe don't ever wipe the mirror though because you might ruin the anti fog finish unless reapplying?
Use Rain-X anti fog to keep mirrors unfogged.

I little bit of bar soap wiped on the mirror works pretty well too. As long as you don't wipe it off.

I've tried it a few times, and it seems to be hit or miss for me. Without a doubt, it works better in the summer, but in the winter time it does not do such a good job for me.
I find that keeping the vent fan running while I'm in the shower does a good enough job of keeping the mirror fog free... but that definitely depends on the layout of your bathroom.
