I throw away my blades after one use. However, I also shave my head and do a WTG/XTG/ATG with every shave.
So, I was wondering what % of us throw away a blade after one use vs use them multiple times.
I think even if I didn't shave my head, I'd toss after a single use. With prices as low as 10 cents per blade, why not have the most comfort possible? I even tossed my Feathers which are double that price.
However, I only shave about 3 times per week.
I paid $12/100 Astra SP's. That's 12 cents each. At 3 per week times 4 weeks, I'm spending $1.44/mo in blades.
When using the Gillette Proglide I was going through an average of 4 cartridges per month. Even with good deals, the best I've ever found was $3.50 per cartridge. That's $14 per month.
So, the way I look at it, I'm still spending nearly 10x less each month in blades using a BRAND new blade each and every time.
