Ugh, i don't even like gold. Why do i want an Aristocrat so much?

They shave great. I got one and I use it on my special shaves, Easter, Annivesary, Birthday, and other holidays.

Mine too. I am not fond of Gold plated finished either, and the 46-47 is one of the best razors Gillette ever made IMO. I got one at an antique store for $10 that was in terrible shape, shipped it off to Dave at WCR and got it replated in rhodium and he replaced the missing end cap also. Photos of before and after below. The replate ran about $75 including him making a new endcap for it, but it is absolutely my favorite razor in my rotation and will outlast me, so it was money well spend IMO...

I have three...two notched and one un-notched. By far my favorite razor. I liken the shave to a Red Tip with a kick. Just a bit heavier and really smooth.

I love all the Aristocrats. The OC is my favorite, however, all of them provide a great shave.
